Death of Altron non-executive director : Mr PD Redshaw
Shareholders are advised that in compliance with paragraph 3.59(b) of the JSE
Limited`s Listings Requirements, the board of directors of Altron announces with
great sadness the untimely passing away on Friday, 15 July 2011 of Mr David
Redshaw, a non-executive director of Altron and the past chief executive officer
of the Bytes group, following a short illness.
During his 23 years spent with the Altron group, David was primarily
instrumental in building the Altron group`s information technology capacity to
what it is today and what was the second largest IT concern in SA by market
capitalisation, just prior to Bytes delisting in 2008.
David`s wise counsel, astute leadership, warm friendship and positive
contribution to the affairs of the Altron group will be sorely missed and the
Altron group extends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to his wife
Marjorie and to his children Philip and Jacqui.
