APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD
In terms of section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised of the following appointments to the Board of
Miranda:
Mr Clive Graham Knobbs
Clive Graham Knobbs has been appointed to the Board of Miranda as a
Independent Non-Executive Director. Mr Knobbs holds qualifications in
engineering, commerce and business from the University of the
Witwatersrand,UNISA Harvard University and INSEAD. He also holds a Mine
Managers Certificate of Competency and is a Fellow of the SA Institute of
Mining and Metallurgy. His previous directorships include CEO of Harmony
Mining Gold Co. Ltd, Barplats Limited (now Eastplats and various other
directorships in other mining companies. He also served as president of
the Chambers of Mines of South Africa on two occasions He is currently
lecturing final year students in the mining engineering department of the
University of Pretoria.
Mr P C (Pine) Pienaar
Pine Pienaar has been appointed to the Board of Miranda as a Non-Executive
Independent Director. Mr Pienaar holds a B.Compt(Hons) CA(SA). Mr Pienaar
was the CEO of Mvelaphanda Resources Limited, and director on GFI-SA,
Northam Platinum Limited and Trans Hex Group Limited.
The appointments will be effective immediately.
