Changes to the Board
The Board of Wits Gold announces that Dr Marc Watchorn, CEO, has decided, after
nine years with the Company, to step down in order to pursue his own business
interests. It also wishes to welcome Mr Philip Kotze as his successor, with
immediate effect. Mr Kotze is independent.
Mr Adam Fleming, chairman, commented as follows:
"Marc Watchorn was instrumental in co-founding the company in 2003 and has
played a key role in Wits Gold`s subsequent progress, specifically in the
upgrading of the status of the Company`s significant resource base and in
developing our two major mining projects in the southern Free State, Bloemhoek
and the shallow DBM whose scoping study has just been released. We are most
grateful for his important contribution to the growth of the Company and wish
him well in his new endeavours.
With Wits Gold now embarking on the development of two potential new gold mines,
we are particularly pleased that Philip Kotze, with his previous extensive
mining experience at Anglo Gold, Harmony and Anooraq Resources, has agreed to
join us."
