CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE
Limited ("Listings Requirements"), the board of directors of Goliath
Gold ("the Board") hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr Pieter
Johannes Nel has been appointed as an independent non-executive
director with effect from 29 July 2011.
Piet was the founder of the listed mining and mining development
company, Petmin Limited ("Petmin"), where he served as the non-
executive Chairman for 20 years until his resignation as Chairman in
June 2010 and as director in February 2011. Piet still however, serves
on Petmin`s Technical Advisory and Review Committee.
Piet has also served as managing director to various mining and related
companies including Petrex (Proprietary) Limited, Venmag (Proprietary)
Limited and Geocapro Magnesite Mine (Proprietary) Limited. Having been
in the mining industry for over four decades, Piet brings extensive
knowledge and experience to the Board.
Piet`s qualifications include a BSc (University of Pretoria) and an A E
P (University of South Africa). He is a Fellow of the Geological
Society of South Africa and was a Council Member of the Geological
Society of South Africa from 1996 to 1997.
The Board welcomes Piet and looks forward to his contribution to the
Company.
