Changes to the board of directors
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the JSE Limited`s Listings
Requirements, shareholders are advised that with effect from 1 August
2011, Mr SN Susman and Mr RJ Abraham were appointed as an independent non-
executive director and executive director of Altron respectively.
Simon is currently the non-executive deputy chairman of Woolworths South
Africa and non-executive chairman of Country Road, Australia. He
recently retired after 10 years as the chief executive of the Woolworths
group.
Simon holds numerous trusteeships and currently sits on the advisory
boards of Stellenbosch University`s Business School and TSiBA Education
College in Cape Town. He is patron of the Gryphon Education Trust and is
chairman of the South African arm of Conservation International, a major
US based conservation group.
Rob is the current chief executive officer of the Bytes group, having
been appointed to this position on 1 March 2010 following the retirement
of Mr PD Redshaw. He has spent more than three decades in the ICT sector
and has, for the past 13 years, held several senior and executive
positions, which has included managing Bytes Document Solutions, the
largest operation within the Bytes group. Prior to joining the Altron
group, Rob held senior positions with Olivetti and USKO Limited. Rob is
also a member of the Altron executive committee.
