TONGAAT HULETT: APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Tongaat Hulett is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Brand
Pretorius as an independent non-executive director to the Board, with
effect from 3 August 2011.
Mr Pretorius currently serves as a non-executive director on the boards
of ABSA, Reunert, Italtile, RGT Smart, Tata and Africa Holdings. He is
also a member of the advisory boards of the international consultancy
firm Alexander Proudfoot and the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South
Africa. Prior to this, he had a long and distinguished career in the
motor industry, Toyota SA Marketing and McCarthy Motor Holdings. He
retired as CEO of McCarthy Limited on 1 March 2011.
