PRUDENTIAL 2011 INTERIM RESULTS
Shareholders are referred to the 2011 Interim Results for Prudential
plc released today, which contains the following information in
respect of Prudential Health Limited ("PruHealth") and PruProtect.
PruHealth and PruProtect are the joint ventures in the United
Kingdom, owned by Discovery and Prudential plc.
"PruHealth`s sales of APE GBP4 million were 28 per cent below the
same period last year, reflecting Prudential UK`s reduced share,
from 50 per cent to 25 per cent, of the expanded business following
PruHealth`s acquisition of Standard Life Healthcare. PruProtect`s
sales were up 20 per cent compared with 2010 on a like-for like
basis."
