CHANGES TO THE BOARD AND COMPANY SECRETARY
1. CHANGES TO THE BOARD
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders are advised of the following changes to the board of
directors:
1.1 CHANGE IN DESIGNATION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF A DIRECTOR
Mr. Darryn Coyle-Dowling, a non-executive director has been appointed
as executive commercial director to the board with effect from 15
August 2011.
1.2 APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS
John Jones and Tim McClure (DipM Law) have been appointed as
independent non-executive directors to the board with effect from 15
August 2011.
John Jones is a past Director of Grindrod Limited and spent 42 years
with the group. He served as Chairman of the Association of Shipping
Lines and on the national council of the Association of South African
Shipbrokers and Ships` Agents.
Tim McClure, a past director of Grindrod Limited and its major local
and international subsidiaries, is currently a director of the UK
Freight Demurrage & Defence Association. He is also the past
president of the South African branch of the Institute of Chartered
Shipbrokers.
Chemspec welcomes John Jones and Tim McClure to the board and looks
forward to their contribution to the Company.
1.3 RESIGNATION AND APPOINTMENT OF COMPANY SECRETARY
Mr. BD Drury has resigned as company secretary with effect from 15
August 2011.
Statucor (Proprietary) Limited has been appointed as company secretary to
Chemspec with effect from 15 August 2011.
