In terms of the requirements of section 3.4 of the JSE Listings Requirements
Sanlam shareholders are advised that the Group`s Headline Earnings Per Share for
the six months ended 30 June 2011 are expected to exceed that reported in
respect of the corresponding period in 2010 by between 25 and 35%.
The information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on
by Sanlam`s auditors. Sanlam`s results for the six months ended 30 June 2011 are
due to be released on 8 September 2011.
