ACCIDENT AT THE TAU LEKOA GOLD MINE CLAIMS LIFE OF EMPLOYEE
Village regrets to announce that a fall of ground incident resulting from a
seismic event at the Tau Lekoa Gold Mine has claimed the life of a mine
employee. The accident occurred in the early hours of this morning.
All work at the affected area has been stopped. Village is working closely
with the relevant authorities and it is expected that production at Tau
Lekoa will be negatively affected, until the working areas are re-opened.
The board and management of Village extend their sincere condolences to the
family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
