DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BHP BILLITON PLC HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("BILIHI")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of BHP Billiton plc
have declared a final dividend of 55 US cents per ordinary share payable on
Thursday, 29 September 2011 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the books of
the company at the close of business on Friday, 09 September 2011.
The currency exchange rate applicable for the dividend will be announced on the
last day to trade Friday, 02 September 2011.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities,
BILIHI, will receive a BHP Billiton plc dividend of 55 US cents per security on
Thursday, 29 September 2011 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the
Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to
trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be
Friday, 02 September 2011.
BILIIDI Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend
from the commencement of business on Monday, 05 September 2011, and the record
date will be Friday, 09 September 2011.
