DECLARED FINAL DIVIDEND AND SPECIAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON FIRSTRAND
LIMITED HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("FSRIHH")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of FirstRand
Limited have declared a final cash dividend of 46.00 cents and a special
dividend of 70.00 cents per ordinary share payable on Monday, 17 October
2011 to ordinary shareholders recorded in the books of the company at the
close of business on Friday, 14 October 2011.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities,
FSRIHH, will receive a FirstRand Limited final cash dividend of 46.00
cents and a special dividend of 70.00 cents per security on Monday, 17
October 2011, in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the
Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day
to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividends
will be Friday, 7 October 2011.
FSRIHH Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the
dividends from the commencement of business on Monday, 10 October 2011,
and the record date will be Friday, 14 October 2011.
Due to the special nature of this additional dividend component, should a
Stop-Loss Event occur due to the effects of the dividend on the ex. value
share price the pricing of the FSRIHH will be re-adjusted in order to
leave holders in the same economic position.
