NOTICE REGARDING THE RELEASE OF PROVISIONAL ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
In terms of the JSE Listing Requirement 3.16, where an issuer has not
distributed annual financial statements to all shareholders within three
months of its financial year end, it must publish and distribute to all
shareholders provisional annual financial statements within three months
of its year end.
Alert Steel is therefore required to publish and distribute to all
shareholders, provisional annual financial statements for the financial
year ended 30 June 2011 by 30 September 2011.
As a result of the post balance sheet events of ongoing corporate
actions as contemplated in the announcements released on SENS on 26
August 2011, 29 August 2011 and 2 September 2011, and the finalisation
of the above at the scheduled General Meeting on the 27 September 2011,
Alert will not be in a position as at 30 September 2011 to publish and
distribute to shareholders the specified provisional annual financial
statements.
The provisional annual financial statements of Alert are expected to be
published and distributed to shareholders on or about 17 October 2011.
