CANCELLATION OF MINING RIGHT
Central Rand Gold, the South African gold mining and exploration holding
company, today announces that the Company has received notice from the Ministry
of Mineral Resources cancelling its Mining Right. As such operations have ceased
with immediate effect.
The Mining Right has been cancelled as a result of the contravention of Section
47(1)(b) and Section 47(1)(d) of the Act regarding the Mining Work Programme and
Social Labour Plan.
The Company is consulting with its legal advisers with regards to next steps and
a further announcement will be made in due course.
