APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In accordance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders are advised that Ms. Nomvula Mthombeni has been
appointed as an independent non-executive director to the Rolfes board and
as a member of the audit committee, with immediate effect.
Ms. Mthombeni holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Post Graduate
Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town. She completed her
articles with KPMG in Johannesburg and qualified as a Chartered Accountant
in 1998.
After completing her articles she joined Investec Private Bank as a
Corporate Finance Consultant. She then joined Eskom as a Financial Manager
in the Corporate Risk Services Division at its Head Office in Megawatt Park
and subsequently transferred to the Koeberg Nuclear Power Station as
Finance Manager responsible for Finance, Procurement & Warehouse Management
and was later promoted to Business Support Services Manager in the Nuclear
Cluster.
After spending five years at Eskom, Ms. Mthombeni joined Old Mutual
Healthcare as Finance Executive and three years later moved into private
business and joined Duma Travel as a 50% shareholder and Managing Director.
She currently serves on the boards of various companies, her current
directorships comprising the following companies:
* Duma Travel (Pty) Ltd;
* Nothemba Properties (Pty) Ltd;
* Nothemba Investments (Pty) Ltd;
* Pinnacle Technology Holdings Limited.
Ms. Mthombeni is also a member of the following professional bodies:
* South African Institute of Chartered Accountants;
* Association of Corporate Travel Executives;
* Black Management Forum;
* Association of Black Accountants in Southern Africa; and
* African Women Chartered Accountants.
Rolfes welcomes Ms. Mthombeni to the Board and looks forward to her
contribution to the Company.
