Shareholders are advised of the following:
TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of paragraph 3.4(b) of the JSE Limited ("JSE") Listings Requirements,
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are
satisfied that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial
results for the period to be reported on next will differ by at least 20% from
the financial results for the previous corresponding period.
Chemspec wishes to advise shareholders that the company expects an improvement
in the company`s loss and headline loss per share for the six months ended 30
September 2011 ("the interim period") of between 70% and 80% compared to the
loss and headline loss per share of 14,04 cents reported for the six months
ended 30 September 2010.
The unaudited results of Chemspec for the six months ended 30 September 2011
will be released on SENS on or about 31 October 2011.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
