TRADING STATEMENT
In compliance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors wish to advise shareholders that the Group`s
headline earnings per share and earnings per share attributable to shareholders
for the 12 months ended 31 August 2011 are expected to be between 400 cents per
share and 410 cents per share. The headline earnings per share and earnings per
share for the previous corresponding period were 303,6 cents per share and 304,9
cents per share respectively. The Group results to 31 August 2011 include
Unitrans Auto and Steinbuild for two months, however, their results did not have
a material impact on headline earnings per share as an additional 49,3 million
shares were issued in consideration for the acquisition.
Shareholders are further advised that the forecast financial information
contained in this Trading Statement has neither been reviewed nor reported on by
the Group`s external auditors. The Group`s results for the 12 months ended 31
August 2011 will be released on SENS on 14 November 2011.
