TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces
that a total of 24,038 ordinary shares were transferred from treasury
shares on 25 and 27 October 2011, in respect of the grant of awards and
vesting of awards under the Company`s share plans.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 19,659,570
ordinary shares held in treasury and a total of 1,323,307,888 ordinary
shares in issue, excluding treasury shares.
