FATAL ACCIDENT AT CONSOLIDATED MURCHISON MINE
Village regrets to announce the death of an employee, who accidentally
fell whilst climbing down a vertical raise at Athens shaft at the
Consolidated Murchison Mine in Limpopo. The accident occurred around
12.30pm today.
The DMR inspectorate in Polokwane has been alerted. The affected area has
been barricaded off and senior management and the inspectorate are
currently en route to the mine to commence a full investigation.
The board and management of Village would like to express their sincere
condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased.
