In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Santam Limited ("the board") hereby notifies
its shareholders that Dr Namane Magau has resigned as a non-executive director
with effect from 7 November 2011. Dr Magau served on the board since 28 May
2002. She has contributed significantly to the success of Santam during her
period as director. Management and the Board take this opportunity of thanking
her for her dedicated contribution to the Group and wish her well in her future
endeavours.
