TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that a
total of 12,362 ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 20
December 2011, in respect of the grant of awards and vesting of awards under
the Company`s share plans.
Following the transfer, Anglo American plc has a total of 19,538,403 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,323,429,055 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
