Shareholders are advised that the Board of Directors of the Company has
resolved to make an offer to minority shareholders to acquire all of their
Mercantile securities. The intended corporate action is subject to all
relevant regulatory requirements and approvals (including in accordance with
the Companies Act, 2008, and Regulations, the JSE Listings Requirements and
the Banks Act, 1990.) Accordingly, shareholders are advised to exercise
caution when dealing in the Company`s securities until a further detailed
announcement is released.
