ABSA GROUP AND ABSA BANK: RELEASE OF ANNUAL FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE YEAR
ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2011
Shareholders of Absa Group and Absa Bank are advised that the financial
results for the year ended 31 December 2011 will be released on SENS and
placed on Absa`s website (www.absa.co.za) on Friday, 10 February 2012. The
date of the results announcement has been moved forward, to coincide with
the release of the financial results of Barclays PLC, the Group`s parent
company.
A presentation of the results will be made in Johannesburg at 13:00 p.m.
(South African time) on Friday, 10 February 2012. It will be broadcast live
on Summit TV (DSTV channel 412). Webcast and conference call facilities
will be available for the presentation and details thereof will be
published on the Absa website prior to the presentation.
Shareholders are also informed that the salient dates for the payment of
the Absa Group ordinary and Absa Bank preference share dividends, as set
out in the Absa Group interim results booklet for the six months ended 30
June 2011, remain unchanged. Full details of the dividends will be included
in the financial results announcement on 10 February 2012.
