UPDATE TO SHAREHOLDERS
Angel Diamonds Proprietary Limited ("Angel Diamonds") (in liquidation)
Shareholders are referred to the announcements released on SENS on 1
December 2011 and 9 December 2011 and are advised that additional theft
charges have been brought against Messrs Mosebo and Engelbrecht on 13
January 2012 for the unauthorised removal from site of substantially all
of Angel Diamonds` plant and equipment, which it appears occurred prior
to 30 September 2011 when a second provisional liquidation (Case Number
CIV/PET/01/2011 - "the Case") was brought and granted against Angel
Diamonds. The Case will be heard in the High Court of Lesotho on 30 March
2012.
Thabex and other interested parties have to date not received any
feedback from the Lesotho Royal Mounted Police, Diamond Squad
Headquarters in Maseru, about the first theft charge concerning the
disappearance of approximately 1000 carats of rough diamonds. The Company
and other interested parties have requested the Public Prosecutor of
Lesotho to determine the reasons for the delay in investigating and
prosecuting the theft of the rough diamonds and have also brought to his
attention the additional theft charges.
