registered as such in terms of the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 45
of 2002.
DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT - SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2011
The manager and trustee have resolved to make a distribution to holders of dbx
USA securities recorded in the register on 30 December 2011 in respect of the
six months ended 31 December 2011
Details of the distribution are set out below:
- The distribution payable to holders will be an amount in ZAR equivalent to
USD 0.00457 (point four five seven cents) per dbx USA security (the "USD
distribution amount").
- The USD distribution amount will be converted to ZAR at the exchange rate
prevailing on or about Wednesday, 25 January 2012, details of which will be
released on SENS on or about Thursday, 26 January 2012.
- The distribution will be paid to holders on or about Tuesday, 31 January
2012.
The USD distribution amount (which represents a pro rata portion of the
distributable income of the portfolio) has been calculated after deduction of
any foreign withholding tax payable by db x-trackers on dividends. The USD
distribution amount of USD 0.00457 per dbx USA security is calculated as
follows:
- Gross foreign dividends of USD 0.01338 (one point three three eight cents);
- Less: Withholding tax of USD 0.00201 (point two zero one cents);
- Plus interest and equalisation of USD 0.00003 (point zero zero three
cents);
- Less: Management fee of USD 0.00683 (point six eight three cents).
The information set out above is published for information purposes only.
Holders should contact their tax advisers as regards the applicable tax
treatment of the USD distribution amount and the withholding tax.
