FATALITY AT TWO RIVERS PLATINUM MINE
African Rainbow Minerals ("ARM") regrets to announce that an employee was
fatally injured at the Two Rivers Platinum Mine, a joint venture with Impala
Platinum Holdings Limited ("Implats"). On Saturday, 21 January 2012, an employee
was fatally injured during an unfortunate fall of ground accident. Operations at
the mine were subsequently halted to allow for a re-evaluation of safety
procedures. Operations are expected to resume as soon as the re-evaluation is
completed.
The Company would like to express its sincerest condolences to the family,
colleagues and friends of the deceased.
