TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a listed company
is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware that
the financial results for the next financial period to be reported on will
vary by 20% or more from those of the previous comparable period.
KAP hereby advises that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that both
headline earnings per share and earnings per share for the six months ended
31 December 2011 will be between 16.0 cents and 18.0 cents (2010: 13.9
cents).
The proposed acquisition of the Steinhoff Industrial Assets ("the
Acquisition") has not been anticipated in the numbers on which the trading
statement was based, as the Acquisition is still subject to regulatory
approval as a condition precedent.
The financial information in this trading statement has not been reviewed
or reported on by KAP`s auditors. The unaudited results for the six months
ended 31 December 2011 are expected to be published on or about 7 March
2012.
