Trading Statement
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that, mostly as a result of a nine week strike at one of its South
African abattoirs, Country Bird Holdings expects that its earnings and
headline earnings per share for the half year ending 31 December 2011 will
be between 44% and 48% lower than that of the previous comparative period.
This trading statement has not been reviewed or reported on by the company`s
external auditors. It is expected that the results for the interim period
ended 31 December 2011 will be published on or about 23 February 2012.
