TRADING STATEMENT
In accordance with paragraph 3.4(b) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited and further to the SENS announcement dated 23 December 2011,
shareholders are advised that for the six months ended 31 December 2011, the
Group expects to release unaudited earnings per share ("basic EPS") and headline
earnings per share ("HEPS") within the ranges shown below.

The above results include an arbitration award handed down in favour of AMAP in
respect of a claim by AMAP`s subsidiary, Tedelex Trading (Pty) Limited, against
Battery Technologies (Pty) Ltd. The claim arose following the cancellation of
orders of batteries supplied to Tedelex Trading (Pty) Limited on the basis that
the batteries did not meet specification requirements. The award is an amount of
R28,8 million before tax.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the Group`s auditors. The Group`s unaudited results
for the period ended 31 December 2011 are expected to be published on or about 5
March 2012.
