DECLARED FINAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO PLC
("BRITISH AMERICAN") HOT ENHANCED DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("BTIIHA")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of British
American have declared a final dividend of 88.4 pence per ordinary share
payable on Thursday, 3 May 2012 to ordinary shareholders, recorded in the
books of the company at the close of business on Friday,9 March 2012.
The currency exchange rate applicable for the dividend is GBP: ZAR =
12.19960 as at 21 February 2012.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of BTIIHA, will receive a British American
dividend of 1078.44464 South African cents per ordinary share on Thursday, 3
May 2012 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated in the Supplement
between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to trade
("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be Friday
2 March 2012.
BTIIHA Hot Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the
dividend from the commencement of business on Monday 5 March 2012, and the
record date will be Friday, 9 March 2012.
