TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements ("LR") of the JSE Limited, a listed
company is required to publish a trading statement as soon as it becomes aware
that the financial results for the financial period to be reported on next will
vary by 20% or more from those of the previous corresponding period.
GPI hereby advises that for the six months ended 31 December 2011, earnings per
share will be between 700% and 710% higher and headline earnings per share will
be between 70% and 75% higher than the previous corresponding six month period
ending 31 December 2010.
Management considers adjusted headline earnings per share the most meaningful
measure of performance and advises with reasonable certainty that adjusted
headline earnings per share will not be more than 20% higher than the previous
corresponding period.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed and reported on by GPI`s auditors. The financial results for the six
months ended 31 December 2011 are expected to be published on or about 27
February 2012.
