TREASURY SHARES - TRANSFERS
In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, Anglo American plc announces that a
total of 3,220,862 ordinary shares were transferred from treasury shares on 24
and 27 February 2012, in respect of the grant of awards and vesting of awards
under the Company`s share plans.
Following the transfers, Anglo American plc has a total of 16,089,080 ordinary
shares held in treasury and a total of 1,326,879,819 ordinary shares in issue,
excluding treasury shares.
