APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In compliance with section 3.59(c) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders are advised that Mr Sanjay Paramanand Soni has been
appointed as an independent non-executive director of the Company with effect
from 29 February 2012.
Sanjay graduated from the University of Natal - Durban in 1992 where he obtained
his B.Comm degree. He subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant CA (SA).
Sanjay is a member of SAICA, the Institute of Directors, a mentor with SAICA for
SAICA`s BEI program (2010), a past member of the Association for the Advancement
of Black Accountants (ABASA) and also past Treasurer and National Board Member
of ABASA.
Between 1994 and 1998, Sanjay was an audit trainee and later became an audit
manager at MSGM Masuku Jeena (KZN) Inc (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers).
From 1998 to 2000 he was an audit manager with Ernst & Young (KZN) and between
2000 and 2002 head of Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young KZN. He was appointed a
director of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance Johannesburg in 2002 and held that
position till 2005. In January 2006, Sanjay was appointed Chief Executive
Officer of Harvey World Travel, Woodmead - a position which he held until 2008.
In 2009 he joined Spartan Technology Rentals (Pty) Ltd - a specialist IT leasing
finance business to the established SME segment and held the position of Head of
Operations till 2011. Currently he is an executive director of Emerge Capital
(Pty) Limited - a niche investment and advisory business.
