KUMBA ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Kumba Iron Ore Limited today announces the appointment of Frikkie Kotzee as
Chief Financial Officer, effective 1 June 2012. Frikkie, who is currently the
Group Financial Director of African Oxygen Limited, replaces Vincent Uren, who
resigned at the end of December 2011.
Frikkie has worked for Anglo American Platinum as Head of Business Development
and Anglo American as General Manager: Corporate Finance. He is a Chartered
Accountant, with a CIMA qualification and a B.Com Honours, Accountancy. He also
completed his B.Proc (Cum Laude) and LLB. He has developed in-depth commercial
and strategic skills across a range of industries, including mining, oil, gas
and financial services.
Chris Griffith, Chief Executive Officer of Kumba, said, "We are delighted that
Frikkie is joining Kumba. His extensive knowledge and experience make him an
ideal fit. With a track record of working across a broad range of sectors, he is
a welcome addition to the team and I am looking forward to working with him."
Chris added, "I would like to thank Martin Poggiolini, our Head of Finance, who
has been acting CFO since January 2012, for his assistance and dedication during
this period. Martin will continue in this role until June."
