TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 29 FEBRUARY 2012
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable
degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the period to be
reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from the financial results for
the previous corresponding period.
EFG`s earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the six months
ended 29 February 2012 to be reported on by EFG is expected to be at least 20%
lower than EFG`s earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the six
months ended 28 February 2011, as published.
Once EFG obtains reasonable certainty regarding a range to describe the
difference between the financial results for the six months ended 29 February
2012 to be reported on by EFG and the six months ended 28 February 2011, as
published, EFG will issue a further announcement in that regard.
The financial information for the six months ended 29 February 2012 to be
reported on by EFG has not been reviewed or reported on by EFG`s auditors.
