WITS GOLD: APPOINTMENT OF NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Witwatersrand Consolidated Gold Resources or "Wits Gold" (JSE&TSX: WGR; ADR:
WIWTY) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kenneth Dicks as an
independent non-executive director of the Company effective 5th March 2012.
Mr Dicks, a mining engineer of background, has 39 years` experience working in
the South African mining industry, having held a number of senior positions
within AngloGold. He presently also serves as an independent non-executive
director on the boards of Harmony Gold and Bauba Platinum.
Commenting on the appointment of Mr Dicks, the Chairman of Wits Gold, Adam
Fleming said, "We are delighted that Ken has agreed to serve on our Board. Not
only does he bring a wealth of technical and management experience to the
Company, but he also shares a common vision for the South African gold mining
industry."
