Appointment of a Non-executive Director
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the Aspen Board of Directors ("the Board") is pleased to announce
that Mr Kuseni Dlamini has been appointed to the Board as an independent non-
executive director with effect from 1 April 2012.
Kuseni has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual South Africa
and Emerging Markets, having had responsibility for Old Mutual`s operations
in South Africa, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Prior to this, he was the
Head of Anglo American South Africa and a member of the Executive Committee
(Exco) of Anglo American plc. Before heading up Anglo American South Africa,
he held the position of Executive Chairman of Richards Bay Coal Terminal
Company (RBCT), the single largest export coal terminal in the world and was
instrumental in increasing its design capacity from 72 to 91 million tons per
annum and raising productivity and efficiency levels. Prior to RBCT, he
occupied a number of senior positions at Anglo Gold Ashanti and De Beers in
South Africa and the United Kingdom. Kuseni is a graduate of the University
of Natal, Durban, and Oxford where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
Referring to the new appointment, Aspen Group Chairman, Ms Judy Dlamini,
