RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcement dated 2 February 2012, in which Buildmax
shareholders were advised of the disposal of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Columbia
DBL(Proprietary) Limited ("the Proposed Disposal"), shareholders are advised
that in terms of paragraph 10.7 of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements,
Buildmax appointed QuestCo (Pty) Limited as the independent professional expert
to confirm that the terms of the Proposed Disposal are fair as far as the
Buildmax shareholders are concerned ("the Fairness Opinion"). The Fairness
Opinion pertaining to the Proposed Disposal is being finalised and will be
announced shortly. Buildmax shareholders are therefore advised to continue
exercising caution when dealing in the Group`s securities until the Fairness
Opinion is announced in due course.
