FAIRNESS OPINION AND WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the announcements dated 2 February 2012 and 15 March 2012 in which
Buildmax shareholders were advised of the disposal of a wholly-owned subsidiary,
Columbia DBL(Proprietary) Limited ("the Proposed Disposal"), shareholders are
advised that in terms of paragraph 10.7 of the JSE Limited Listings
Requirements, the Board of Directors of Buildmax obtained confirmation from
QuestCo (Pty) Limited as the appointed independent professional expert that the
terms of the Proposed Disposal are fair to Buildmax shareholders ("the Fairness
Opinion"), which Fairness Opinion will lie open for inspection at Buildmax`s
registered office at 514 Pretoria Road, Fairleads, Benoni for 28 days from the
date of this announcement. Buildmax shareholders are therefore advised that
caution is no longer required to be exercised when dealing in their securities.
