APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY CEO
In compliance with section 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited ("Listings Requirements"), shareholders are hereby notified that Mr Karl
Kumbier, Executive Director Finance and Business, has been appointed as Deputy
CEO of Mercantile with effect from 1 April 2012. Mr Kumbier will continue to
perform the duties of executive financial director as required by section
3.84(g) of the Listings Requirements.
