TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a
reasonable degree of certainty exists that the financial results for the
period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from the previous
corresponding period.
Shareholders are advised that Ellies expects that earnings per share and
headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 April 2012 will be at least
40% higher than earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the
year ended 30 April 2011.
There is not a sufficient degree of certainty at this stage to provide the
specific guidance as to the range by which the earnings per share and
headline earnings per share will be higher and accordingly, more specific
guidance, as required by the Listings Requirements, will be provided to
shareholders as soon as there is a reasonable degree of certainty in this
regard.
The information of which this trading statement has been based has not yet
been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.
