APPOINTMENT OF GROUP FINANCIAL DIRECTOR AND COMPANY SECRETARY
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders of the Company are hereby advised that Mr. AR Langham
("Andrew") has been appointed as Group Financial Director of Erbacon. Andrew
is a Chartered Accountant (SA) with 25 years of financial and operational
leadership within listed companies, of which 15 years has been with major
South African construction companies. Andrew`s experience includes financial
management, governance and reporting, capital raising, acquisitions,
commercial negotiations and operational performance.
Andrew joined the Erbacon Group in November 2011 and now assumes the role of
Group Financial Director with effect from 2 April 2011, taking over from Mr.
RK Braithwaite ("Rob") who continues to serve on the Executive Committee of
the Group in respect of various financial, risk and compliance, and
governance support functions. Rob resigned as Group Finance Director on 2
April 2012.
In addition, shareholders were advised via SENS on 31 January 2012 that, as
an interim measure, Rob would be appointed as the acting Company Secretary
and that a further announcement would be made in this regard. Accordingly,
shareholders are hereby advised that Rob has been appointed Group Company
Secretary with effect from 2 April 2012.
The board welcomes the appointments of both Andrew and Rob, which
appointments are intended to provide the necessary experience and capacity
required to achieve the Group`s strategic and growth aspirations.
