APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited ("JSE"), the board of directors is pleased to advise shareholders
that Mr Pete Backwell was appointed to the board of RGT SMART as a non-
executive director with effect from 27 March 2012.
Mr Backwell qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Pim Goldby and was a
partner in the Tax Division of Deloitte. He joined the Management Services
Division of the Nedbank Group in 1991 headed up Nedbank`s Corporate Banking
Division and was then appointed Managing Director of the Retail and Wealth
Management division.
Mr Backwell joined H.L. Hall and Sons Holdings Limited ("Halls") in 2004,
which is the indirect controlling shareholder of RGT SMART through
Lightstone (Proprietary) Limited (which is 65% held by Halls)..
The board welcomes Mr Backwell and looks forward to gaining from his insight
and experience.
