Appointment of Independent Non-Executive Director
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
Protech is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Terence Rensen (64) as an
Independent Non-Executive Director to the Protech Board with effect from 19
April 2012. He will also serve on the Protech Audit and Risk Committee.
Terence is a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience at board and
management level. In a career spanning more than 40 years, he has served as
director on the boards of a number of listed companies across different
industries including the construction industry. Terence has a proven track
record in the spheres of group strategy, mergers and acquisitions, financial
reporting, corporate governance, BEE and competition related matters.
Terence is the Chairman of Binnington Copeland and Associates and served as the
Group Financial Director of Howden Africa Holdings Limited up to 1 March 2012.
He was the Executive Director responsible for Enterprise Risk Management at
Murray & Roberts Limited until his retirement in 2010.
The Company looks forward to Terence playing a significant role in the
development and execution of the Protech growth strategy.
