DECLARED FINAL DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON TONGAAT HULETT LIMITED ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("TONIDI")
The Directors of Tongaat Hulett ("Tongaat") Limited have declared a final
dividend of 170 cents payable on Thursday, 19 July 2012 to ordinary holders
recorded in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 13 July
2012.
In terms of the new Dividend Tax effective 1 April 2012, the following
additional information is disclosed:
1) local dividend tax rate is 15%;
2) no STC credits available for utilisation;
3) net local dividend amount is 144,5 cents per share for shareholders liable
to pay the new Dividends Tax and 170 cents per share for shareholders
exempt from paying the new Dividends Tax;
4) the issued share capital of Tongaat is 105 143 181 ordinary shares; and
5) the Tongaat tax reference number is 9306/101/20/6
Accordingly, the holders TONIDI will receive a final dividend amount per
security on, Thursday, 19 July 2012 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated
in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day
to trade ("cum" the interim dividend) in order to participate in the final
dividend will Friday, 6 July 2012.
TONIDI Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the interim
dividend from the commencement of business on Monday, 9 July 2012, and the
record date will be Friday, 13 July 2012.
