Results of Annual General Meeting and retirement of directors
Shareholders are advised that, at the Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of Standard
Bank Group held on 31 May 2012, all of the resolutions set out in the Notice of
the AGM dated 7 March 2012 were passed by the requisite majority of
shareholders.
Sir Paul Judge and Sir Sam Jonah retired from the boards of Standard Bank Group
and The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited at the conclusion of each
company`s AGM. The chairman expressed the boards` appreciation for the
contributions that they have made during their time with the group and wished
them well in their future endeavors.
