SANTAM LIMITED - APPOINTMENT OF INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In terms of paragraph 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised of the following important changes to the board of
directors:
Appointment
Mr Grant Glenn Gelink has been appointed to the Santam Limited board as an
Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 June 2012. Grant has a
Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), National Diploma in Public Administration,
Higher Diploma in Education and Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours).
Grant is an experienced Chartered Accountant and was a member of the Deloitte &
Touche Executive Committee since July 1999. He was appointed as chief executive
of Deloitte Southern Africa on 1 June 2006 and retired from this position on 31
May 2012. Grant is also chairman of the African Children`s Feeding Scheme.
We look forward to Grant`s contribution to Santam Limited as an Independent Non-
Executive Director and as a member of the Company`s Audit, Risk and Investment
committees.
