TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably
certain that the financial results for the current reporting period will be
more than 20% different from that of the previous corresponding period.
Shareholders were advised via SENS announcements on 16 November 2011 and 23
February 2012 and in the company`s interim report issued on 9 March 2012
regarding the prospects of the group for the 2012 financial year.
Shareholders are now further advised that headline earnings per share and
earnings per share for the twelve month period ending on 30 June 2012 will
be at least 25% lower than for the twelve months ending 30 June 2011.
AOE is not able, at this stage of the current financial year, to determine
with a reasonable degree of certainty by what percentage the results for the
twelve months ending 30 June 2012 will be lower than the previous
comparative period.
This trading statement will be updated as soon as a reasonable degree of
certainty is obtained.
