The Company was notified on 6 June 2012 by the trustee of the British American
Tobacco Employee Share Ownership Plan that on 6 June 2012 the following
executive director and other persons discharging managerial responsibility
(together the "Participants") had purchased ordinary shares of 25p each in
British American Tobacco p.l.c. (the "Shares") by way of the Partnership Share
Scheme at a price of 3,057.895 pence per Share.
