APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, Murray & Roberts is pleased to announce the appointment of Thenjiwe
Chikane as independent non-executive director and a member of its Audit &
Sustainability Committee with effect from 15 June 2012.
Ms Chikane is a Chartered Accountant and currently an independent non-
executive director at Nedbank Group Limited, Datacentrix Holdings Limited and
the Institute of Directors. She previously held the position of Head of the
Gauteng Department of Finance and Economic Affairs and served on the boards
of several companies including Development Bank of Southern Africa and Telkom
SA and was the chairperson of the State Information Technology Agency.
Non-executive director, Tony Routledge has indicated that he will not be
available for re-election and will retire at the October 2012 Annual General
Meeting. Mr Routledge will also be retiring from the Audit & Sustainability,
Remuneration & Human Resources and Social & Ethics Committees at that date.
The Board of Directors wishes Mr Routledge well in his retirement and extends
its appreciation for his wise counsel and valuable contribution to the Group
over the past eighteen years.
